Burj Al Arab

The symbolic opening of the hotel in December 1999 allowed Dubai to enter the new millennium with the new icon - the tallest hotel in the world, Burj al Arab.
The hotel shaped like the big sail lies on its own artificial island connected with the land by the long, guarded causeway. To pass by the guards one needs to present the proof of room reservation, or a seat reservation in one of hotel's restaurants or cafes.


The special guests can enter the hotel inside a white Rolls-Royce limousine, or more stylish abroad the hotels helicopter, which has a special landing close to the top of the hotel.
The landing has witnessed many of famous guests, Andre Agassi and Roger Federer played the tennis game there, and Tiger Woods practised some golf strokes on the heliport changed into the green.

The interior of this 7-star hotels is the neverending line of stylish carpets, silver ornaments and ceilings covered with 24-carat gold.
The guests stay in two levels apartments with rotated canopy bed, the equipment you can expect from this class hotel, like plasma TV screen and even the separate entrance for the private butler. Covering the whole wall the windows provide the guests with spectacular views over the Persian Gulf.
